Now that you read my about me, I want to try to paint a picture of the adventure I have been on creating Deliberately Classy. My journey started back in early 2017. I got hooked on a very successful lip brand, and just was loving the marketing behind it. It was simply brilliant. I saw a girl I know go from an office worker to a top producer. She had never sold a thing, but just believed in the product. She worked parties, booths, and just became this amazing salesperson and team leader. I was so impressed with everything about this company. I started researching the company, learning about how it came to be. The story, the brand, the culture was inspiring. To keep it short, the idea began with me loving their lip line, but wanting to fix the few major flaws I felt the product had. I thought, how hard would it be to find someone who can make this lip line perfect?
I started researching cosmetics, and of course fell onto the story of Estée Lauder. This quote perfectly sums her up, and of course you can read more about her here (https://www.elcompanies.com/who-we-are/the-lauder-family/the-estee-story)
“I never dreamed about success. I worked for it.” —Estée Lauder
Estée Lauder, the founder of the company that bears her name, was a visionary and a role model. She was a challenger who proved that anything was possible — if you dared to dream it and had the guts and gumption to go for it. Ahead of her time in every way, she created and ran one of the world’s most prestigious and innovative companies while serving as a wife, mother and a loyal friend to many. And she did it all with charm, humor and exquisite style. She loved beauty with a passion and believed wholeheartedly in its power.
What is even more amazing to me, in the 1920’s she was a woman in a man’s world, she built herself an Empire.
I want to build an Empire! I wanted a cosmetic empire.
